Explore wild beaches, native forests and wetlands, with the Pomeroys taking you beyond the usual visitor spots and through locked gates to places you simply wouldn’t discover on your own. Journey out to remote Anatori and enjoy the spectacular drive through Whanganui Inlet. Explore Bainham, where the Pomeroys once farmed on the edge of Kahurangi National Park, and call into the famous Bainham Store – a much-loved local institution. Visit Wharariki Beach, where seals can often be spotted playing in the waves, and see takahē at Triangle Flat. Spend time with the HealthPost Nature Trust and learn about the conservation work taking place around Farewell Spit and beyond, and discover NZ’s only commercial horopito farm and its traditional uses. We'll also visit family-owned Kiwi Spirit Distillery, where you'll enjoy a tasting and discover an unexpected Golden Bay story – the distillery grows Weber Blue Agave and produces New Zealand's only Tequilana spirit. At the end of each day, return to the comfort of Zatori, overlooking the beautiful Golden Bay coastline near Collingwood.
