Wairau Lagoon 4WD Eco Tour
The Wairau Lagoon at the mouth of the Wairau River is a 2,000ha tidal playground for thousands of birds.
Black Swan are sprinkled like pepper over the water, Royal Spoonbill wade elegantly in the shallows and Pied Shag shuffle for space on marooned logs.
On this full-day 4WD ecotour the only other tourists you’re likely to see will be feathered ones on their migration.
